The creator of 20th century cinema’s iconic “Star Wars” franchise had managed to avoid seeing the November 2014 trailer for J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when he was asked about it early December. Preferring not to watch it via the internet, where a teaser trailer has accumulated over 14 million views since its November 28 unveiling on YouTube, he was waiting for an opportunity to see it on a cinema screen, an opportunity that presented itself at some point between then and now.
